A World of Cranberries
Manitowish Waters is home to nearly 600 acres of cranberry marshes. I spent 22 years of my life managing a 63 acre marsh. There is not an aspect of growing these red beauties that doesn’t demand all of your attention-from laying the irrigation pipe in the spring that also serves to protect the crop from freezing at night, to the colorful harvest in October. Its a labor of love. Labor. Love. Repeat.
