A few months ago, I installed one smart bulb in the living room and programmed it to go on about an hour before sunrise (one needs time to look for color in the east, check the temperature and decide how many layers of clothing to pull over one’s pajama’s) to eliminate the stumbling around in the pitch black that could accidentally awake my sleeping beauty. Wile E. Coyote, Genius I proudly proclaimed to myself. I’m hearing now that every morning my slumbering Venus opens one eye to see me perched on the side of the bed like a child anxiously counting the seconds until that light goes on. For better or worse. In sickness and in health.
