For those of us avid birders who wander far and wide on a moments’ notice to catch a fleeting glimpse here and there now and then for a second or two once or twice a year, it’s a mind bending, shutter shooting paradise when a little pond such as this appears as if in a dream, filled to the brim with birds of all feathers flocking together, posing this way and that, preening and feeding, fighting and playing, talking and squawking, a prehistoric scene just like it must have been long before human beings ever started roaming around looking for their first fancy hat or easy breakfast. I could sit here a millennia and not get bored.
