Ahh we made it! The shortest day of the year, first day of winter, the winter solstice-but does that glow in the east mean the days are going to get longer starting tomorrow? For all you early rising statisticians, todays’ sunrise is at 7:39am. For the next few weeks (until January 11) sunrise will actually get later, as late as 7:42am. We do start to gain a few minutes at sunset in a few days but who notices that when we are already in our PJ’s waiting patiently for bedtime before the school bus rumbles by?
