“Hey Papa!” she shouts in a whisper, cupping her hands over her mouth, "did you get my chocolate milk for me?” She had already asked me once, and I didn’t answer right away since I was already getting it for her. But she assumed I didn’t hear-so she kept coming closer and closer, whispering louder and louder, and slower and slower “Hey Paaaa Paaa, I said…did….you……get….my cho…co….late milk?” Pointing to “that stuff behind your ears” as my granddaughter lovingly calls my hearing aids, she was trying everything she could to communicate with me. I was crying I was laughing so hard. That kid could make a sunrise melt an entire lake.
