Untitled photo

For the past several years I have tried to get a picture of every sunrise. I have tried to discover the elusive algorithm required to estimate the number of photos I might be able to share with you without you getting bored to death while factoring in how many cloudy mornings there could be in an average year here in the North (don’t get me started), the number of mornings where there isn’t a cloud in the sky to add mind bending drama and depth, the number of mornings where clouds unexpectedly roll in at precisely the right time causing me to excitedly bark shutter speeds, ISO adjustments, and F-stop orders from my half-asleep brain to my by now completely frozen fingers and then, finally, adding in the number of mornings I might god forbid accidentally oversleep, dividing all this by 365, and well I’m sure you can see it’s all just far beyond the last math I remember learning from the last row passing notes to my best friend Stevie in Mrs. Abbotts 5th grade classroom. So I just keep taking it one day at a time.
