Each morning in fall I literally jump out of bed, franticly dressing in a tasteful medley of pajamas, sweatshirts, unmatched gloves some old warm hat that Carolyn says makes me look like a 4 year old, and I RUN down in my slippers with a heart that goes from dreaming to racing in 4 seconds flat, instantly wishing I had put some socks on, and burst through the thick overgrown mass of tangled alder which guards my dock to see whats new out there in The Big Purty. Much to the dismay of my family who like to walk unimpeded by spider webs and eye-poking brush onto their dock, this will never be trimmed under my watch. Its like opening the door to heaven.
