In the northern forest, trees have found a way to not just co-exist but thrive despite where their roots long ago dug in, the shape of their leaves, their size, stature, their place in the community perceived and otherwise and with their biggest show of solidarity in autumn-their color. I love fall for reminding me of the absolute significance of each individual and that there is a complete and comforting lack of intimidation in a forest.
